Where and who

Our task is to provide continuing educational and developmental opportunities for laity and clergy engaged in ministry, according to Diocesan vision and priorities.

The CLfM Task Group has been doing much on developing training for Christian leaders under the title ‘Leading from the Future’: allowing the perceived needs of ten years hence to shape the developmental and training work that goes on now.

Continuing Learning for Ministry (CLfM) Task Group

Our vision is to work for a future church that can:

  • form mature, confident, discerning Christian adults
with a sense of purpose and developed emotional and spiritual intelligence
  • produce a collaborative approach to leadership in Church and community
  • identify and nurture talent
  • promote the recognition of a variety of styles in leadership
  • develop skills in leadership styles, relationships, management, communication and the nurturing of leadership in others
  • encourage foresight and the ability to think and plan ahead accordingly
  • encourage sharing and practising these insights with others
  • affirm and inspire other leaders in their vocations.

These pages detail something of the way in which the task group is responding to this challenge. They also explain their plans, current projects, plus a mention of a few of their stories and experiences.
