Training for Ministry

All Christians are "called" by God - we are called to enjoy his love, called to love God in return and to serve God in our lives.
It is currently a Diocesan priority that all Christians should be encouraged and enabled to fulfil their calling in the widest possible sense.

Formation and
Ministerial

There are many ways in which Christians can discover and make this connection. The aim of this Formation,Ministry and Ministry section is firstly to help those wishing to explore the possibility of developing their ministry.

This section will be a good starting point for those who who would like to find out more about Lay Ministry. We have a dedicated Vocations Team who are committed to helping you explore and find the way forward for you, whether you are exploring ordained or lay ministry. Following the link to the Faith Matters will take you to a series of pages containing team details and information of the many ways in which you can find guidance.

The remainder of this section provides information and various resource materials for clergy and lay ministers in training. These can be accessed by following either the training for discipleship & ministry, - initial ministry education years 4-7 - or continuing learning for ministry links.
