Baptism and Confirmation

Baptism is an act which symbolises the entry into a relationship with Jesus Christ and the Christian Church and is the way a person becomes a member of God's family, the church. The service is also a thanksgiving for the child and the opportunity for the wider church family to acknowledge the support they should offer. Although baptism is often seen as a service for babies and young children, people of all ages can be christened.
