Remembering the environment in our public and private prayers of intercession.

This booklet was produced in 2011 by the former Newcastle Diocesan Environment Task Group (Rob Kelsey, editor; Peter Dodd, John Harrison, Janis Irvine, Diane Kirkup and Margaret Patterson) and commended by Bishop of Newcastle the Rt Revd Martin Wharton, in the belief that environmental concerns should be an integral part of the public and private prayers of all Christian people.

Environmental Helpsheets

It has been proposed that the Diocese could offer a series of help-sheets dealing with practical hands-on issues such as Recycling, Sustainable lifestyles or Ethical investment.

On the assumption that the best source of information is someone who has already done the research, put something into practice, and achieved some measure of success, the help-sheet editor would be happy to receive contributions from individuals or parishes under any of the above headings – sheets must be no longer than two sheets of A4 (10/11 pt ) and should provide sources of literature/Internet reference where possible.

If you would like to consider providing such a sheet (or sheets) please contact me at Johnandaveril@aol.com.
