Inspired North East
A new Visitor Guide to Open Churches in the North East is being prepared by Inspired North East and the Churches Tourism Task Group.The new visitor guide is envisaged as a successor to the ‘Spirit in Stone’ Millennium guide produced in 1999/2000.
We are also compiling data on churches of interest to promote in connection with the Lindisfarne Gospels exhibition in Durham in 2013 and other special events such as Flodden 500.
This is all part of the Churches and Visitor Welcome initiative now being taken forward by the Churches Tourism Task Group.
