Maundy Thursday Cathedral Service – 11am 9th April: Together with Bishop Paul, I warmly invite the Clergy, Readers and the people of the Diocese to the Cathedral for the Maundy Thursday Eucharist Service. The service provides an opportunity for us all, lay and ordained, to renew our commitment to the service of Christ and his people. Also included will be the Blessing of the Oils, for use in Holy Baptism, Confirmation and the Anointing of the Sick. The Cathedral will provide the oils. Empty stocks and vessels should be brought to the Cathedral before 10.30am on Maundy Thursday, and collected at the end of the service. Further stocks of all oils can be obtained from Bishop’s House after Easter.
