Eclectic ~ Single Christians on Tyneside

Eclectic is a new lively fellowship group for single Christians meeting on Tyneside.
Eclectic consists of Christians from a wide variety of church backgrounds with an aim to support one another on our individual walk of faith with Christ. We are all in our 30’s – 50’s and keen to make new friends.
The number of single people in Britain continues to grow and this trend is reflected in our churches; however, single Christians rarely have an opportunity to meet one another. For members of Eclectic this has changed.
Eclectic meet once a month between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. on the first Friday of the month at Barney and Jude’s, Greystoke Avenue, Sandyford, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE2 1PN. Barney and Jude’s is a stylish café. There are no preachy bits - just great coffee in a smart venue. We also have a full programme of social and cultural events. We enjoy plays, films or music events. Some of our members are outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy a Saturday walk each month. However our favourite pastime is to meet for meals in some of the trendy restaurants in Newcastle.
Christian singles groups have proven very successful throughout the country in recent years and we now have one on Tyneside for Christians in the North East. With members from a wide range of denominations we are certainly richer as a result of being an eclectic mix.
Eclectic is an initiative of practical discipleship and is just another way that Christians are adapting to social change and reaching out to meet the needs of other Christians in today’s circumstances. We are not all Christian and some are not even single!
Come along to Barney and Jude’s and find out more. We meet next on 2nd November and 7th December, or you can contact us by e-mail at Eclecticfriends@hotmail.co.uk .
