Everyone working in either a voluntary or paid capacity in the Diocese needs to update their Safeguarding Training every 3 years.

This training is from the National Safeguarding Training Framework for The Church of England and every Diocese is expected to cover the same core information.

C modules are core modules and are the compulsory modules of training to be completed. These modules are transferable across Dioceses. Attendance forms part of a ministerial review for clergy.

During 2018 we are offering a different range of training.

Refresher Modules

The Training and Development practice guidance requires Safeguarding Training to be refreshed every 3 years.  For those who hold the Bishop’s licence or permission to officiate attending core safeguarding training every three years is a condition of that licence.
