Operations Manager (Resource Church)

Full-time (37.5 hours), permanent contract

£32,111 per annum

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join our Resource Church team.  

The development of our Resource Church will play an important part in the delivery of our Diocesan Mission and Discipleship plan; in the short term helping us to grow a sustainable congregation quickly and in the longer term playing a key role in planting new churches and congregations. It will become a centre of leadership development and training. The Operations Manager will play a key role in the life of the Resource Church and in the delivery of its vision. 

Working with the Resource Church Leader, the Resource Church staff team and congregation as well as the Diocesan senior staff team, the successful applicant will play a strategic and operational role in helping develop an effective and efficient framework to help us deliver our vision. They will take an operational lead on buildings, people, systems and processes.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate significant experience of developing and implementing an operational management framework in a church or similar environment.  They must have experience of building and facilities management combined with a working knowledge of information technology, human resources, governance and financial disciplines.

The ability to work with and alongside others (clergy, lay leaders and volunteers) is important together with an ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making. A passion for Jesus and his church, the ability to lead, to encourage and motivate others is key combined with the ability to embrace change with enthusiasm, resilience and tenacity.

An Occupational Requirement exists for the post holder to be an active communicant member of the Church of England or of a Church in full communion with the Church of England in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
