The girl choristers, lay clerks and choral scholars of Newcastle Cathedral Choir will be giving an exciting and rare performance of Handel’s Messiah in the Cathedral. Many will be used to standard large scale performances of Britain’s favourite choral work, but this performance will feature the young choristers of the Cathedral Girls’ Choir, and the professional singers of the choir’s back row. The instrumentalists will be some of the North of England’s best early music players. They will be performing on the kind of instruments that would have been used in Handel’s first performance. Do book tickets now for this highlight of the cultural diary. Tickets are £15 and available on Eventbrite.
