Bridge Builders online seminar

An online seminar from Bridge Builders, especially tailored to help us lead through these strange times. Commissioned by the Diocese of Newcastle for our clergy and lay leaders, and so will not be attended by a cast of thousands!

Whilst our immediate response to lockdown is done, we face ongoing uncertainty for some time to come. As our situation constantly changes and requires agility and flexibility, its easy to become exhausted as leaders. This seminar aims to support us in handling the anxiety in ourselves and others which is triggered during times of transition, and offer us practical support and guidance for the months ahead. The seminar will include input with an opportunity for conversation and sharing of experience and insights.

Please sign up with Jackie j.thompson@newcastle.anglican.org, and a Zoom invitation will be sent to you nearer the time. You are welcome to attend both seminars, or one or the other.

All Change! – Leading through transitions Thursday 9th July 10:00am-11:30am

Leading through times of change is challenging enough when it’s change we’ve chosen and we have time to plan for it. Leading through change that has come on us suddenly and unexpectedly can leave us disoriented and confused. How do understand what is going on, not just at surface level, but in the deeper responses and reactions we observe? We will look at some frameworks for understanding times of transition, and how these might help us to respond and lead in more considered ways.

Liz Griffiths is Director of Training for Bridge Builders – who provide mediation and training for Christian leaders to develop capability and confidence for engaging with times of tension and conflict.

Liz is an Anglican Priest and has worked in parish ministry and theological education.
