Important information about Linda Hunter
From Ruth Rogan, Safeguarding Advisor
After five years of dedicated conscientious training and support, Linda Hunter has decided it is time to step down from her safeguarding training and policy role.
I would like to extend my personal gratitude for her invaluable and professional contribution during this period and I’m sure all those who have attended sessions she’s delivered (and there are hundreds of you!) will appreciate the difference she has made in improving safeguarding awareness and practice within our parishes.
She will be very much missed and we wish her well.
Until we have replaced Linda we will need to make adjustments to our diocesan programme for 2020.
Between January and March 2020 we will deliver Foundation training for the 11 parishes that have asked for their own parish based sessions.
These will be delivered by Andrew Grant, myself and our new team of volunteer trainers.
In addition, we will offer two Leadership sessions in February and March at Church House and Hexham Abbey, dates will be finalised before the end of November.
Once we have recruited a replacement for Linda we will schedule a fuller programme of training to start after Easter through to Christmas 2020.
In the meantime, if you need Foundation training in your parish, please contact Ruth O’Hagan at Church House.
Don’t forget that Basic and Foundation training is available on line via this link:
If you have any other training enquires please contact Ruth O’Hagan in the first instance.
