Summer Clinics 2026

Generosity Week 2026  is fast approaching, and whether your church is using this particular week to explore giving and generosity, or some other time of year, the Generous Giving Team would like to invite you to their summer drop in clinic day, being held this year at St John's Church, Kingston Park on Thursday 16th July

The team will be joined by by Claire Thompson, Diocesan Fundraising Officer, supporting churches on their sustainability journey. Over the course of the day sessions will be held covering a variety of topics as detailed below. Attendees are welcome to join as many or as few sessions as they wish but all sessions must be booked in advance using the booking link. 

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but if you're staying for the full day we recommend bringing a packed lunch or buying lunch from one of the many surrounding shops.

Overview of Sessions

Communicating Impact & the Social Value Calculator A Vision for Fundraising Introduction to Cornerstone Giving Review  Engaging Successfully with Funders Legacy Giving
A session to help parishes find new ways of showing impact to encourage giving. Includes a walk through of the National Churches Trust 'Social Value Calculator' tool.  A workshop to equip churches with the tools and knowledge to develop a clear, mission-aligned vision and a holistic approach to fundraising for their buildings.

An introduction to the Cornerstone platform, which  guides churches to understand and improve their finances, giving practice and culture of generosity. 

How to plan and run a successful stewardship campaign this Generosity Week or beyond. Includes an opportunity to explore key giving data and statistics.

Equipping churches with the tools, confidence, and practical understanding to  develop strong compelling bids that secure external support. A session offering practical support for parishes looking to get started or refocus efforts on encouraging legacy giving.
