As a diocese, we want to grow in encouraging and supporting the gifts and vocation of the whole Body of Christ, and these posts are a key part of our commitment to support ministry and help people of all ages find their place and role in God’s work in the world. As we move into a new phase of our life as a diocese, we want to encourage and release the gifts of all God’s people for a richer and deeper mission and ministry in, to and with our local communities. In this post you will be responsible for implementing the insights of ‘Everyday Faith’ and ‘Kingdom Calling’, encouraging a wider sense and understanding of vocation, and for encouraging and developing authorised and other lay ministry. You will be someone who is an advocate for the vocation of the whole people of God, and will have experience of encouraging others to grow in faith and ministry. You will be theologically grounded, able to teach others, with a commitment to the ongoing formation of disciples. For an informal conversation about either post contact the Director of Mission and Ministry, the Revd Canon Rob Saner-Haigh, 0191 270 4112 For more information and to apply, please visit: newcastle.anglican.org/vacancies/ Completed application form to recruitment@newcastle.anglican.org Closing date for receipt of applications: 3rd March 2021.
