Priest in Charge to the Benefice of Felton, Longframlington & Brinkburn Priory

The Acting Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a Priest in Charge to the Benefice of Felton and Longframlington with Brinkburn Priory (0.7FTE)

These two very different parishes both have strong traditions of lay ministry and service to the wider communities. Like those who lived before us, we seek to bring the teaching of the Gospels to our communities through creativity and faith. We are seeking a new incumbent who would be excited to continue to develop and grow the congregations of these two beautiful churches, to work with us to help to extend the good news of the Gospel to our communities. We long to see God transforming more lives, churches and communities. We seek a priest who has well-developed leadership abilities together with strong skills in developing vocation, discipleship and ministry across the parishes. Our new priest will have a robust vision for the rural church and will long to enable both lay and ordained to fulfil their potential to engage in God’s mission locally.
