In sorrow and solidarity with Norway
On behalf of the Diocese of Newcastle, Bishop Helen-Ann sends deepest condolences on the death of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.
We remember with gratitude his long years of faithful service to the Norwegian people, and we hold Queen Sonja, the Royal Family, and all who mourn in our prayers.
Our hearts are especially with our friends and partners in the Diocese of Møre. Across our shared ocean waters we stand with you in this time of grief, united in prayer, friendship and hope grounded in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
May King Harald rest in peace, and may God comfort all who mourn.
