Everyone working in either a voluntary or paid capacity in the Diocese needs to update their Safeguarding Training every 3 years.
This training is from the National Safeguarding Training and Development Framework for The Church of England and every Diocese is expected to cover the same core information. To view the training and development framework for 2019, click here.
C modules are core modules and are the compulsory modules of training to be completed. These modules are transferable across Dioceses. Attendance forms part of a ministerial review for clergy.
The Training and Development practice guidance requires Safeguarding Training to be refreshed every 3 years. For those who hold the Bishop’s licence or permission to officiate attending core safeguarding training every three years is a condition of that licence.
If you are able to book by email please do so by contacting email@example.com.
Please state clearly the names of all those who wish to attend, the session which you wish to attend, your parish and role, and give contact details, including email addresses wherever possible, for all those attending.
We will email you to confirm your place and, nearer the time, to send course details.
If you are unable to book by email, please phone Church House on 0191 270 4100.
