    The Bishop of Newcastle with The Patronage Board is looking to appoint a new Team Rector (Priest in Charge) for the Christ the King Team Ministry.

    The Team Rector will have oversight of the whole Team Ministry, and specific responsibility for St Aidan’s Brunton Park one of five congregations.

    On the edge of the attractive Gosforth suburb of Newcastle Upon Tyne, the Parish is currently growing with the latest wave of new housing developments which are set alongside more well-established communities. There are many opportunities to build bridges with new families, with those who care about our communities, and with those who are searching for hope.

    There is a large ministry team comprising three other clergy, a team of readers and retired clergy, as well as many other capable and committed lay leaders and volunteers. In all the congregations, including a new church plant, there is a fresh enthusiasm and willingness to join in God’s mission and to explore new ways of engaging the community and sharing the faith.

    The new Team Rector will be experienced, collaborative, energetic and prayerful, and will be committed to the diocesan vision of growing church bringing hope.
