Vicar to the Parish of St Nicholas Gosforth and Area Dean of Newcastle Central Deanery
The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a Vicar to the Parish of St Nicholas Gosforth and Area Dean of Newcastle Central Deanery.
St Nicholas Gosforth is a significant parish in the Central Deanery and Diocese of Newcastle in the Modern Catholic tradition. The congregation places a strong emphasis on welcome and hospitality for everyone and actively engages in outreach and engagement in this attractive suburb of Newcastle. This is a church and parish ready to be led in the next stage of their journey and development with significant scope for creative worship and mission to all ages and backgrounds.
Newcastle Central Deanery is a large and active deanery encompassing the City Centre of Newcastle, the suburbs and growing estates with varying needs. The deanery requires clear and collaborative leadership, to help shape direction and purpose within the overall diocesan vision of growing church bringing hope and to strengthen the bonds of fellowship and shared mission between its parishes, clergy and lay leaders.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with parish experience who is looking to extend and develop their leadership in a broader context that is both challenging and exciting.
