Vicar to St Peter, Monkseaton
The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a Vicar to the parish of St Peter, Monkseaton.
St Peter’s Monkseaton is a thriving parish church with excellent links to its local community, which is a relatively wealthy suburb on the coast not far from the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. There is a strong Eucharistic tradition, coupled with a willingness to engage with different forms of worship and fresh expressions of church. Priorities self-identified by St Peter’s include prayer, children’s and youth work, and a wide engagement with their local community.
St Peter’s is committed to the diocesan vision growing church bringing hope with the congregation being highly committed to serving the parish and the deanery. Newcastle Diocese, like many, is discerning the next steps for mission and ministry in these challenging times, therefore the new incumbent will be expected to bring energy, commitment and imagination to the mission of the wider deanery, as well as to enabling St Peter’s to grow in faith, hope and community.
Deadline for applications: 5.00pm on Friday 18th September 2020
