Safeguarding Hub

Making life simpler for Parish Safeguarding Officers and PCCs

We are incredibly excited to be launching the Safeguarding Hubs across the Diocese in January 2024, with an aim for all parishes to be using these to their full capacity by October 2024.

A Safeguarding Hub has a suite of tools to help a parish with safeguarding. The first three tools help with safer recruitment and people management.To watch a video introduction to the Safeguarding Hub, please click here.

As always, with the launch of something new, lots of support is available.

We are holding an initial training sessions which is being led by Clearly Simple, who developed the hubs (as well as our already established Safeguarding Parish Dashboards). You can book a place on this course here:

Safeguarding Hubs - invitation to an additional introductory workshop

Due to populare demand we intend to hold an online workshop, which will introduce you to the Safeguarding Hubs. 

The workshop will be on February 13th  at 7pm and will run for 2 hours, although the second hour is optional. A Safeguarding Hub has a suite of tools to help a parish with safeguarding.

The first three tools:

• Keep track of DBS checks and safeguarding training.
• Create role descriptions and person specifications.
• Track the safer recruitment of new volunteers.

The workshop will highlight the benefits of using the Hubs and show how easy it is to get started in using it. The first hour will focus on the core content.  It will include a demonstration of the main features of the Hubs, with the opportunity to ask questions. The second hour is optional.  After a short break, for any participants that want to continue, there will be the opportunity to ask any other questions about the Hubs.
