Appointments
Revd Linda Hunter, currently Assistant Curate (SSM) at Corbridge with Halton and Newton Hall Benefice, becomes Associate Priest (SSM) at Corbridge with Halton and Newton Hall Benefice (Corbridge Deanery), wef. 19-Apr-2026.
Revd Paul Knox Will be licensed on 5th May 2026 as Vicar of Doddington, Ilderton, Kirknewton and Wooler Benefice (Bamburgh & Glendale Deanery). Paul is currently Assistant Curate in the Bamburgh, Belford and Lucker Benefice, (also Bamburgh and Glendale Deanery).
Revd Robert Lawrance, currently Vicar of Newcastle St Francis Benefice, also became Area Dean of Newcastle East Deanery, wef. 01-Feb-2026.
Resignations
Revd Christopher Clinch has resigned his licence as Chaplain: Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, wef. 31-Mar-2026.
Revd Nathanael Hayler has resigned his licence as Assistant Curate at Embleton with Rennington and Rock Benefice, Lesbury with Alnmouth Benefice, and Longhoughton with Howick Benefice (Alnwick Deanery), wef. 29-Jan-2026, to take up a post as Rector of Winchelsea Icklesham and Pett (Chichester Diocese).
Revd Tracey Malthouse has resigned her licence as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Chatton with Chillingham, Eglingham and South Charlton, with Ingram (Bamburgh & Glendale Deanery), wef. 30-Jan-2026.
Revd Canon Susan McCormack has retired from her licence as Team Rector of Willington Team Benefice, wef. 30-Nov-2025, and has been granted Clergy PTO, wef. 01-Dec-2025.
Revd Philip Medley has resigned his post as Priest in Charge of Walker Benefice (Newcastle East Deanery), wef. 19-Apr-2026, to take up a new post of Vicar of St John Great Horton and St Wilfred Lidget Green (Leeds Diocese).
