St Gabriel’s Church is a beautiful and historic building, a pivotal part of the Heaton community since 1899.

Under the auspices of the PCC we have launched a new organisation: ‘Friends of St Gabriel’s, Heaton’.

Membership is open to anyone and everyone including those who would like to be involved in supporting the life of the church and sharing in events and activities taking place, as well as those who would like to help develop the church’s role in the community and care for the Grade II-listed building for future generations.

We are an all-inclusive and welcoming group, reaching out to those within and beyond our current congregation to anyone who would like to join and who is prepared to support our aims. It is exciting that we have already recruited 34 members.

Our logo was designed to portray the distinctive tower of St Gabriel’s, surrounded and supported by its multitude of friends who have a great affinity with all that St Gabriel’s means to so many.
Friends will enjoy an on-going link with St Gabriel’s and the satisfaction of helping the parish church to flourish, both now and in the future.

Becoming a Friend of St Gabriel’s is easy and only costs £1 a month. Just visit the ‘Friends’ page on the website here or pick up an invitation leaflet from the back of the church. In it, you will find details of how to join and the relevant forms. Thank you for your interest.
