Jackson, a chorister from Worcester Cathedral, has set himself the challenge of visiting every Anglican Cathedral in England, jumping at each one.
Newcastle Cathedral was the 28th cathedral on Jackson’s jumping pilgrimage. It was a particularly memorable visit because he was able to persuade the Very Revd Lee Batson to jump with him – the first Dean to do so.
Jackson said: “I loved visiting Newcastle, which I will forever remember as the place with a sense of humour, laughter, friendly people and brilliant cake!
“It was so much fun to be joined by Dean Lee – I am hoping he has set the standard for other Deans, clergy, volunteers or maybe even Bishops to jump with me!”
