Rector of Longhirst, Bothal and Pegswood (0.5FTE)

The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a Priest to be Rector of Longhirst, Bothal and Pegswood (0.5FTE)

These friendly and welcoming villages seek a personable, approachable and faithful Rector to take them on the next steps in their journey of mission and ministry. Close to the picturesque market town of Morpeth, coastal areas of outstanding natural beauty and Northumberland National Park, these parishes offer a diverse mixture of history and heritage and all the attractions, opportunities and amenities of semi-rural living.

We seek a priest who has well-developed leadership abilities, together with strong collaborative skills and a commitment to ecumenical working to help develop vocation, discipleship and mission as we seek to grow younger and more diverse. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a love of community who is looking to extend and develop their leadership in a context that offers great potential for growth.
